Ride of the Kings Ride begins on White Monday.
It is an old folk festival so far unknown origin, mostly associated with the traditional Christian holiday. For us, it just keeps on Moravian Slovakia and in Hana, although it was earlier in the Czech Republic is very abundant. Since 2011 is registered on the UNESCO list of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
Easter Easter is called movable feasts - not intended for fixed date, are in April. Christian Easter lasts for one week, called Holy Week. It ends on Easter Sunday, the most important day of the week, because on that day Jesus returned to life.
Before Easter boys have to prepare plaited willow canes decorated with ribbons. Girls have to colour, decorate or paint eggs. On Monday morning boys with their canes go from house to house, chase girl and whig hem saying traditional rimes and asking for easter eggs. The girl try to hide or to run away. Sometimes they also pour water on each other. Small children are given chocolate eggs and small presents.
At Easter, people eat many traditional meals: a special smoked meat, sweet cakes called mazanec with a cross on the top, small plain cakes called jidáše and a sweet cake in a shape of a lamb called beránek.
All Saints Day All Saints Day is celebrated on 1. November. All Saints' Day is observed by Christians in many countries around the World. People bring flowers to the graves of dead relatives.It is customary to light candles on top of visiting graves of deceased relatives.

Typical Czech Christmas celebration The Czech people celebrate Christmas on December 24th. Every year we look forvard to this day. Christmas decoration starts appearing in the shops. Green, gold and silver decorations awaken the holiday spirit in us. Christmas is said to be a holiday of peace and calm.
On this day, people decorate the Christmas tree with traditional Czech Christmas ornaments and enjoy in preparing dinner. Dinner is usually served after sunset, after the first star has come out and consists of carp and potato salad, which is preceded by fish soup.
Advent begins four weeks before Christmas. During this period we prepare for this long-awaited winter holiday. Mothers prepare special Christmas sweets-the most typical are vanilla rolls, ginger bread and sweets with nuts and Christmas cake. It is said that when Christmas does not eat all day, so you can see the golden pig.
